All About Acting:
The courses taught in various theories of acting from method of acting, modeling, dance and vocal training one on one in our recording studio. All our classes are designed to help students free their creativity, and feel comfortable in front of an audience. Learn acting as an art, and gain freedom in confidence and self esteem. Give the “tools one needs to be in this business” to become successful.
Child Star:
Designed to bring out the star in every child. Your child will gain confidence by learning how to audition, perform commercials and model. They work together in scene work and learn to express themselves in one of our yearly performances. We want every child to feel like a star!
Get a Job:
No actor gets a job if they can't nail an audition. In our classes you will learn a monologue, and a commercial. You will learn to slate, write a resume, and establish positive body language on and off camera. You will learn acting and modeling techniques that will make you employable now! This class is the easiest way to break into "the biz".
DANCE CLASSES: Hip-pop and pop, “Ashley” with “Elusive Dance Crew”, Ashley wants her classes to be challenging; but easy and fun because I want everyone to be able get the pieces I have performed and choreographed in my competitions with my own crew. We have several performances throughout the year here at SCSOPA.
SPECIAL NEEDS DANCE: Riley Weinstein 19 years old - I have achieved my dream, teaching dance to special needs children. I have used my own special needs to bring joy, hope, and power to challenged children. I have relied on my own power to obtain many TV interviews as well as having a documentary about the miracles I have accomplished. I will teach my students a form of movement in pop and hip-hop. Responding to the students' needs and difficulties in the dances requires that the "able-bodied" offer a variety of support and improvised adaptations.
MODELING (Tuesday, Thursday's time varies according to age groups starting at 5:00 pm to 9pm. Saturday's 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Starting age is 4 years of age and up)
COMMERCIAL FASHION PRINT: There is no height requirement for catalogue and print modeling. So if modeling is something that you have always wanted to do, but feel that you are too short, this class is perfect for you. The objective of this class is for you to learn posing more naturally and with confidence.
RUNWAY: This class is what you need to help you develop skills needed to improve appearance through poise, posture, and will teach you to walk with confidence! You will also learn the basic turns and choreography needed to “work” a runway show.
ACTING (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday's time varies according to age groups starting at 5:00 pm to 9pm. Saturday's 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Starting age is 4 years of age and up.)
TV 1 & TV 2: Students who participate in this class will learn how to audition, be comfortable in front of a camera, and improve your memorization skills…all the basic techniques needed to become a professional actor.
AUDITION TECHNIQUES: This class will teach you the techniques needed to audition for an agent, casting director, commercial, sitcom, or a film. You will learn to be confident, how to slate, and how to present yourself as a professional.
COMMERCIAL ACTING: In this class the student will be given real life examples of commercial auditions, learn the skills to “sell” a product, handle props, develop creativity, and of course to build memorization skills, and the confidence to work in front of a camera.
SCENE STUDY: In this class you will be working in groups performing a variety of comedic and dramatic scenes. The actor will learn how to react off of another person and deliver a believable performance. You will also learn the skills to create and perform your own scene.
IMPROVISATION: Have you ever watched the show “Whose Line is it Anyway” and wondered how they came up with some of that stuff?! Well this is the class that will teach you the techniques of how to think quick and express emotion and energy for the material on hand. The objective of this class to teach the exercises to “open up” the actor to his/her own creativity.
MONOLOGUE: Actors that take our monologue classes will be required to learn a comedic and dramatic monologue in reflection of the individual’s character. You will learn the techniques on how to show the right amount of emotion to make it believable. The student will also learn the skills needed to write their own monologue based on the individuals experiences.
STAND UP COMEDY :If are outgoing and have a fun personality and feel you have what it takes to be a comedian…this class is for you! You will learn the confidence needed to perform in front of an audience, stage techniques, and you will also learn how to write your own material.
SOAP & SITCOM: The objective of this class is to learn the acting techniques required for TV sitcoms and Soap Operas. You will learn how to “hit your mark”, how to develop a character, learn conversation dialogue, and how to perform in front of the camera.
COLD READ: This class is focused on developing your memorization skills. One day you may walk into an audition and be given a script that you need to learn then and there. This class will help you learn the techniques needed to memorize and deliver the material on the spot in a natural and confident way. This is extremely important when auditioning for major TV or Film roles.
VOICE OVERS: The voice of an unseen narrator, or of an on screen character not seen speaking, in a movie or a television broadcast; a film or videotape recording narrated by a voice-over. Students will go into our recording studio to cut a reel for your LA Casting, Actor Access and The Movie Data Base.
Voice & Speech and our Movement Class:
Teaches the skills necessary to be comfortable in front of any audience; you will learn speaking and presentation skills, and be able to entertain your audience at the same time. The skills that you learn in these classes are useable on stage, off stage, in front of a camera and in life.

AGE GROUPS FOR ACTING, MODELING:
Pee-Wee’s – 4 to 6 yrs, 1 hour classes
Children - 6- to 8 yrs, 1 hour classes
Pre Teens- 9 to 12 yrs, 1 hour classes
Teens – 13 to 17 yrs, 2 hour classes
Adults – 18 and up, 2 hour classes
DANCE CLASSES:
Beginners - 1 hour
Advance - 1 hour
VOCAL LESSONS:
One on one Lesson with instructor Jacqueline Hopkins from “Otto’s Daughter” in our recording studio, half an hour classes eight week lesson or hour classes for ten weeks.

RockinEnglish:
Rockin' English is a unique experience for children to develop their
oral language or learn English through music. They will learn in a fun new way using a total physical response method. (4-6 year olds)

Rockin' Addition:
Rockin Addition teaches the addition facts using the latest brain research. Captivating melodies and repetition will create an atmosphere for your child to learn his/her addition facts.
Classes: 8 weeks for $100.00 – Saturdays - 10:00-10:30 am (6-8 year olds)
Rockin' Subtraction:
Rockin' Subtraction teaches the subtraction facts using the latest research. Captivating melodies and repetition will create an atmosphere for your child to learn his/her subtraction facts.

Rockin' Multiplication:
Rockin' Multiplication teaches multiplication facts using the latest brain research. Captivating melodies and repetition will create an atmosphere for your child to learn his/her multiplication facts.

Hands On Reading:
Hands on Reading is an exciting total physical response approach to reading. Children will read using an auditory, visual, and kinesthetic approach to reading. This class is designed for a child not speaking English as well as a nonreader.
Classes: 8 weeks for $100.00 - Sundays -10:00-10:30 am (4-5 year olds)
Hands on Math (Addition/Subtraction):
Hands on Math 1 will empower your child to solve word problems with ease with this new hands on approach. Your child will learn the theory behind solving story problems and show a complete understanding of the process using a total physical approach.
Classes: 8 weeks for $100.00 - Sundays - 10:30-11:00 am (6-8 year olds)
Hands on Math (Multiplication/Division):
Hands on Math 2 will further empower your child to solve word problems with ease with this new hands on approach. Your child will learn the theory behind solving story problems and show a complete understanding of the process using a total physical approach.

Kids' Chorus:
Kids' Chorus is brand new opportunity for your child to join a choral group. We will learn original songs and perform in our local community. Your child will also be able to record in a real recording studio.
Classes: 8 weeks for $150.00 – Tuesdays - 6:00- 6:45 pm (4-6 year olds)
Kids' Chorus:
Kids' Chorus is designed for older children to join a choral group. We will learn original songs appropriate for this age group. We will also perform for our local community and record in a real recording studio.
Classes: 8 weeks for $150.00 – Thursdays - 5:00-5:45 pm (7-10 year olds)
Rock and Roll Chorus 1:
Rock and Roll Chorus is looking for older singers who have a passion for singing. Exciting original songs await your talented vocals. We, too, will rock out the community and record in a real recording studio. Opportunity knocks for you and your future is up to you!

Rock and Roll Chorus 2:
Rock and Roll Chorus 2 searching on for those next pop icons who have a strong passion for singing. Original music awaits the future stars of tomorrow. Our community will hear your lovely voices and you will have a unique experience to record in a real recording studio.
Classes: 8 weeks for $200.00 – Thursdays - 6:00-7:30 pm (16-21 yrs)
